The theme of the 2024-2025 season has been perseverance. This year posed multiple challenges ranging from friend drama to a math teacher who lacks in the teaching department. This year has been full of ups and downs in both my social and academic experience. Now, buckle up and prepare for an information overload.
Two pivotal moments of this year have been the Arrow Week trip to Joshua Tree and the Odyssey unit in English. Joshua Tree tested my perseverance by handing me an 80lb backpack and forcing me to walk 4 miles a day. Each day was hard and taxing, but I pushed through and never gave up. That trip taught me that I can do hard things and I am capable of peeing in the wilderness. The Odyssey unit was a pivotal moment because I got to show my knowledge of Greek mythology and my ability to make connections beyond the text. I felt so smart and “in control” of my studies during that English unit.
A few conflicts that arose this year have been mainly with math and the teaching style. I have been trying my very best to stay afloat, but that is proving to be a massive challenge. Another challenge has been learning more complicated coding languages. This website is a representation of the complexities of something that seems simple. Actually, while coding the base of this website, I ran into multiple different errors that I had to figure out the solutions for.
